The ‘Dogs founder and lead singer Tofu Bodine disputes the assertions that he disbanded his earlier band, Tie Diarrhea because they lacked talent, success or groupies. But whatever the reason, his decision for form the children’s band The Unicorndogs has worked out for Tofu and fans worldwide. Tofu’s vocal stylings are attributed to his unique upbringing. His father performed in the controversial BDSM a cappella band The Assless Chaps, while his mother sang backup for John Cage, Yoko One and others. The ‘Dogs breakthrough hit – A Headlice Horseman – “captured the zeitgeistic ennui of the early twenty-first century pre-K set,” according to Rolling Stone. The ‘Dogs recently released Cum on Feel the Toyz and are touring worldwide as the opening act for The Clara Peller Experience.
